Job Description

Provides financial support and is a strategy partner to the operating Divisions. Responsible for the development of annual budget, latest estimates and long-range plans related to the operating Divisions. Gathers, analyzes, and reports financial and operational results to the operating Divisions, management team and Corporate.

Detailed Description
  • Assists in the development of annual budget, latest estimates (LE) and long-range plans related to the operating Divisions
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors variables effecting financial performance (such as cost trends, vendor utilization, underlying costs)
  • Prepares quarterly forecasts of production volumes, capital and operating expenses
  • Assists in developing financial presentation material for Board of Director quarterly meetings and outside agencies
  • Provides financial support and information to the operations teams in Denver and Greely (field office)
  • Develops ad hoc reports designed to provide clear, relevant information to operations teams and Corporate
  • Creates operating budgets and forecasts for near-term and long-term strategic planning
  • Performs necessary financial close processes including capital, LOE and non-op accruals
  • Maintains regular presence in Greeley field office

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Typically requires 2 years of accounting/finance experience, oil and gas experience preferred

Additional Details
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with oil and gas industry
  • Excellent communication skills, focused on ability to tailor communication based on audience
  • Proficient use of Excel, PowerPoint and modeling tools preferred
